50 Community Health Workers and 18 Chiefs of Centers of Donga- Mantung Division, trained as Service Providers, Equipped to minimize new infections of HIV, under the PEPFAR and PACF funded Projects.
As her contribution to improve Health Service delivery, and promote the Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission of HIV (PPTCT), IVFCam carried out a three-day intensive training on community mobilization, household count, SILC (Savings and Internal Lending Communities) and book keeping.
After the training, the Service Providers are expected to create, economically enhance, and manage support groups of pregnant women, and People Living with HIV/AIDS. The training took place at the Nkambe Integrated Health Center, North West Cameroon, and participants came from 13 health areas of the division.
While the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) of the US Embassy in Yaounde is supporting this program from March 2015 to March 2016, the Positive Action for Children Fund (PACF) – UK’s support started this program in 2011, and now scaling it to 2017.
